Makita 18 Volt Ni-mh Batteries…?

by William on August 14, 2009

Does anyone know of a UK based company that can refurbish (re-cell) these Makita batteries? I’ve always just bought new ones, but now I have a growing collection of dud batteries. Seems a shame to just scrap them! Thanks for any ideas.

why not refurb them yourself?
You can buy the bulk cells, all you need to do is to breaak open the case, pull out the old cells, install the new and reseal the case.
I do it it all the time. I have also rebuilt my laptop battery packs, my cordless tools and my portable tranceivers.
I do not know of a battery source in the UK, battery sourcce in the UK, but I found a good source here in the States by searching eBay. Find a eBay store and contact the seller.
I just rebuilt the battery packs in my garden lights this morning.
