Are you sure you didn't get a bad battery pack? I have 4 for the 18v and 1 seems to drop faster than the others. These have been used in my Handymaam business almost daily for the past 4 yrs. Black & Decker is DeWalt's cheaper version, Makita isn't what it used to be and Ryobi is also a lower end tool. Try the Porter Cable if you decide against DeWalt.
